VoD users voted „Game of Thrones“ the favourite series of 2017

Berlin, 30th January 2018. The offer for German Video-on-Demand users in 2017 was so appealing as never before. Amazon Prime Video, Netflix & Co. invested energetically in their contents and developed an unprecedented variety and quality on the supply side. Still a tv-series can ensure a top-position in the ranking to fans.

In a recent survey about the most popular Pay-VoD series, viewers chose at the top the HBO phenomenon „Game of Thrones“. However, according to the analysis of the actual number of audiences „The Big Bang Theory“ is the most watched series of 2017 (gross reach). Whereas in Germany „Game of Thrones“ is exclusively available on Sky, the popular Warner Bros. production „The Big Bang Theory„ can be watched on Netflix, as well as on Amazon Prime Video and on many other different VoD-Services reaching in this way a greater number of viewers.
