Online audio usage becomes more and more mobile

The radio and music consumption of online audio users in Germany is growing and becoming more and more mobile. The use of the classic radio brands is at the front, but also online only radios and online audio programs are becoming more and more popular. On-demand offers such as podcasts open up additional usage situations, and voice-controlled devices in the households could change the searchability and access to audio content.

This are resultas of the Web Radio Monitor 2017. The study is a comprehensive market analysis on the topic of Internet Radio and Online Audio services in Germany, conducted by Goldmedia on behalf of the BLM (Bavarian regulatory authority for commercial broadcasting), the BVDW - German Association of Digital Business and the German Association of Commercial Broadcasters and Audiovisual Services (VPRT). The basis of the study is a complete investigation by means of a survey of the web radio and online audio service providers in Germany.
