Club Culture in Berlin. Study for the German Clubcommission

August 2019. On behalf of the Clubcommission Berlin e.V. Goldmedia developed a study on Berlin club culture.

Berlin has a pioneering role as a home to a world-famous, diverse and extremely lively club cultural landscape. The influence on other cultural, social and economic fields is enormous. In order to be able to assess the significance of club culture for Berlin as a business and cultural location more clearly and comprehensively, a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative study on the various dimensions of club culture has been carried out in cooperation with academic partners including Goldmedia.

The findings are intended to strengthen Berlin as a club location in the long term, from which other sectors, the arts, cultural areas and urban civil society benefit. What makes club culture special, what economic, cultural or social significance does it have?
