Scenario analyses on TV stations' development
Goldmedia analysed the financial development potential of local TV channels for several media regulators. Goldmedia's comprehensive assessment examined development potential under various scenarios involving external change. The aim of the project was to determine the self sufficiency of the channels.
Goldmedia Finance used the channels' historic and current business figures as well as forecasts of future development to model the balance sheets, P&L and liquidity development of each individual channel. For each channel, several scenarios were investigated.
The results of the analysis were clear statements on the further economic development of the channels, including potential cost reductions and revenue increases. On the basis of these analyses, regulators could determine specific, ongoing finance requirements.
