Online survey on VoD usage in Germany

Fully 40% of web users ages 18 to 29 visited the platform at least once a day, according to a recent report, “VoD usage in Germany,” based on an online survey by Goldmedia. Fully 40% of Germany's web users ages 18 to 29 visited YouTube at least once a day. Only 16% of 30- to 49-year-olds said they checked the platform daily. This are results of an online survey by Goldmedia conducted in February 2015.

More results of the survey:

  • 30% of all German web users ages 18 to 29 used YouTube several times each day, only 10% of 30- to 49-year-olds
  • Looking at weekly usage: 52% of all adults watched videos on YouTube at least several times, 80% of 18-to-29-year-olds
  • Males in Germany were more likely than females to be weekly users of the platform; 60% of men (all age groups) watched videos on YouTube at least once a week, compared with 43% of women
