Study Mobile Monitor 2011
Lastest study on smartphone use in Germany
The smartphone boom is continuing on course. At the end of 2010, every fifth cell phone user in Germany had a smart phone (BITKOM October 2010). But as use of these mobile minicomputers becomes more widespread, users’ needs are changing. While design and technical capabilities used to be the decisive purchase considerations, ease of use has since become the most important criterion for customer satisfaction. Apple’s iPhone remains the most popular smartphone among Germans, but HTC devices have made major strides in closing the gap.
These findings are taken from the Mobile Monitor 2011 report by market research institute Goldmedia Custom Research GmbH (http://www.goldmedia.com) in cooperation with the online panel provider respondi AG (http://www.respondi.com).
