20.06.09Goldmedia is currently conducting a study of Germany’s online radio market, in order to create the first comprehensive audience measurement system for this medium. On July 8th, Goldmedia managing director Klaus Goldhammer will present its findings at a conference in Nürnberg, “Lokalrundfunktage 2009”.
Goldmedia’s overview of the German web radio market will include market players, audience reach, listener habits, and revenues. This information is useful for both ad agencies and web radio broadcasters themselves, who have a vested interest in measuring web radio’s scope with “hard” numbers (hits, downloads, sociodemography, etc.).
Up to now, there was no means for documenting the situation in Germany’s web radio market. Goldmedia’s study, which will help solve this problem, was undertaken on behalf of the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for New Media (BLM; Bayerischen Landeszentrale für neue Medien).
